Brian Eno on nuclear disarmament and launching the Third Millennium

Brian Eno addresses an issue which no individual in this world can ignore. Although we may want to believe that the spectre of nuclear catastrophe was last apparent when Eno was only just emerging onto the Glam Rock scene of the ‘70s, our responsibility towards global disarmament is as prominent now as it ever has been. Our “greatest threat”, in the words of US President Obama, is just as real now to a fragile and beautiful planet which faces global terrorism, international conflict and human error.

But today there lies in union of power, which is now realistically prepared to move away from proliferation. Public support is vital in persuading governments to move beyond the limited thinking of Copenhagen and towards a globalised collaboration truly representative of the third millennium of the future.
